Shu begins to walk away, and Laito pushes Yui into Shu. Shu accepts the challenge and ends up winning. With all of this happening, Yui tries running away, but Laito stops her, saying prizes shouldn’t run. Reiji also continues to call Shu a good for nothing deadbeat. Was it because Shu was the oldest son and really didn’t do anything meanwhile Reiji studied and tried hard to gain his mother’s attention? It’s really hard to say, but their mother certainly wasn’t a good person to either one of them. This makes me wonder what exactly happened between the two brothers that made Reiji so hostile towards Shu. Reiji calls him spineless and that he backs away from any challenge. And I’ll discuss that later on as I go further into the episodes.Īnyway, with that said, Shu remains laying on the couch, trying to ignore everyone.
#BROTHERS CONFLICT MANGA HIKARU ROUTE SERIES#
Like Shu, I think as the series progresses, he uses his posessiveness to try and protect Yui from what is going to take place. Ayato is indeed possessive as Shu said, but in a way, I don’t think it’s that bad as it comes across. Laito claims the game is for Yui- little bitch, and Shu says Yui means nothing to him and to leave him alone. Ayato finds Shu resting on a couch in the pool/dart room, and threatens him with a game of darts. Ayato discovers that Shu bit her, also by recognizing the mark Shu left. But having Shu suck her blood moments before, Yui tells him it’s not a good time. Once he finishes feeding on her, Shu warns her to think twice before approaching him again.Īyato is waiting for Yui, and wants to suck her blood. When he bites her, he says her blood is hot, and that her temperature seemed to have risen when he bit her. As he gets closer to biting her, Shu notices the bite marks and asked if Ayato did it, calling him a possessive freak. Yui thought Shu was different than the others, and he is, but he does warn her that he is still a vampire.
#BROTHERS CONFLICT MANGA HIKARU ROUTE SKIN#
He tells her that her skin is pale and goes into detail how her blood will gush out if he bites her. Shu seems to study Yui for a moment, before he strokes her skin. He may not show he cares about her, but I believe his actions that he has already made, shows that he does. I know people that watch the series think Ayato and Yui are great together, but I think Shu would be another one that would be good for Yui. But she doesn’t necessarily struggle with Shu. Well, of course Yui is frightened I think for the most part, any young woman would be frightened of having their blood sucked by a vampire. He pulls her into the water, and tells her he wants to suck her blood. When he sinks into the water, Yui grabs his hand, instantly causing him to have a flashback. It’s not harsh like Subaru, Reiji and the occasional irritated, loud Ayato. His voice is perfect for that kind of character. Kosuke Toriumi does such a wonderful job as Shu. Shu and Reiji have the same mother, Subaru has a different mother with no siblings, and Ayato, Laito and Kanato have the same mother. He does pull her into the tub with him. Shu is the only one that tells Yui their backstories, about how they all come from different mothers. Shu asks if she wants to join him in the bath, and teases her because she’s blushing. He asks if she’s there to see him naked, and she replied that she was there to take a bath. Shu has a tendency to be in the most odd places and as Yui prepares for a bath, she hears a noise behind her. Which you know at this point something may happen. Ayato then says he’ll be back for more after she is finished her bath. Although Yui tries to refuse, she ends up bitten anyway. I still think in his own way, he’s trying to look out for her and not cause any harm, but even he can’t resist biting her as we see in this episode.Īfter Reiji reprimands her for her bad table manners, Yui goes back to her room and wants to get a bath. This episode seems to focus a lot on Shu, and he even has a flashback. I’m surprised she had been able to adjust the way she did…in such a short time as well. I feel bad for Yui at this point because she was sent there without knowing who the residents were, and how they behaved. And these vampires are definitely not the vampires like in Twilight…they don’t sparkle in the sun. But these vampires are not like the ones you would see in movies like Interview with a Vampire, where…yes they can be rather hostile, but they at least have open communication. There should be at least some communication going on. If this was me, the silence would drive me nuts. Episode three starts out with the vampires having dinner with Yui in absolute silence.
